Is there anything we need to pack before you arrive?
Yes, we always recommend you personally pack passports, cash, sensitive documents, and anything that is extremely precious, sentimental, or highly important to you (e.g., irreplaceable jewellery, specific medications). These items should remain with you for your removal.
When should I pack?
If you’re self-packing, the majority of your packing should ideally be completed in the days and weeks leading up to the move. We recommend that approximately 99% of your items should be packed before our team arrives on moving day, unless you have specifically booked our professional packing service as part of your removals.
What should I write on boxes?
At the very least, clearly label the room it belongs to (e.g., “Kitchen,” “Bedroom 1”). If contents are fragile, mark “FRAGILE.” For your own benefit, you may also want to briefly note the contents, especially for boxes you’ll need to unpack first during your removals.
Do you pack the fridge contents?
For hygiene and safety, we ask that fridges and freezers are emptied (and defrosted) prior to our arrival. Most people try to eat up their food as much as possible before moving. Anything perishable or remaining should be placed in a cool bag for your personal transport.
How do you pack electronics?
When packing electronics, we ensure they are thoroughly bubble-wrapped and cushioned within appropriate boxes to protect them from impact and static during transit. For commercial removals, critical IT equipment should be disconnected by your IT personnel beforehand.
Is there anything you won't pack?
For safety and transport regulations, we generally avoid packing hazardous materials such as paints, flammables, or anything that could leak or cause damage during transit. We can advise you on these items during your pre-move assessment for your removals.
