TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions apply to all removal services provided by D&G Moves. By booking our services, you (the “Customer”) agree to the following terms.
1. Definitions
- “Company” refers to D&G Moves.
- “Customer” refers to the individual or business booking the removal service.
- “Goods” means all items that the Company is contracted to move.
2. Booking and Quotations
- All quotes are based on the information provided by the Customer and are subject to change if details differ on the moving day (e.g., access issues, volume changes).
- Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
- A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit (if applicable).
3. Payment Terms
- Full payment is due on completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in wri.ng.
- Accepted payment methods: Bank transfer or cash.
- Late payments may incur additional charges.
4. Cancellations and Postponements
- Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the move: full refund of deposit
- Cancellations less than 72 hours before the move: 50% of deposit is refunded
- Cancellations made under 24 hours of the move: no refund
- Postponements are subject to availability and may incur a rescheduling fee.
- If you ask us to unload back into the original house you will be charged 50% of the moving fee.
5. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer agrees to:
- Provide accurate details of the move (including access restrictions, stairs, and parking).
- Ensure all items are packed securely unless packing services have been booked.
- Be present or have a responsible representa.ve available at both the collection and delivery addresses.
- Notify D&G Moves of any items requiring special handling.
6. Liability and Insurance
- D&G Moves holds Goods in Transit and Public Liability Insurance.
- Our liability is limited to £10000 per item unless additional insurance is arranged in writing.
- We are not liable for:
- Loss or damage to items not packed by us.
- Damage caused by third parties or inadequate access.
- Delays due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.
7. Excluded Items
We will not move:
- Hazardous materials (e.g., gas canisters, paint, chemicals).
- Perishable goods or live animals.
- Illegal items or substances.
- Cash, jewellery, or items of extraordinary value (unless declared and agreed in writing).
8. Delays and Access
- It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure adequate parking and access to both properties.
- There Is no charge for same day waiting delays, however we reserve the right to charge for any delays that run into the following day or days.
- D&G Moves is not liable for delays caused by access restrictions or incorrect addresses.
9. Damage and Claims
- Any damage must be reported in writing within 48 hours of the move.
- Claims will not be considered acer this period.
- We reserve the right to repair or replace damaged items at our discretion.
10. Subcontracting
D&G Moves may use subcontractors or partner services where appropriate. All subcontractors are required to operate under the same standards.
11. Termination
D&G Moves reserves the right to cancel or refuse a job if:
- The Customer provides false information.
- The site is deemed unsafe for our crew.
- The Customer is abusive or unreasonable.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of its courts.
